Since its early beginnings the Doom mapping evolved a lot. Nowadays we have heaps of custom graphics, modified monster behavior with Dehacked, new triggers that didn't exist in the original Doom... and all the other bloat wasting precious kilobytes on our drives. What happened to the good ol' days when you just made a map that was truly your own creation without following some prescribed recipe or caring about texture alignment or other fluff just to satisfy the masses? We invite you to join us today as we travel back in time to an era when discovering PWADs was an experience as unexplored and untamed as discovering a new continent. Hope to see you there!
