To follow up with our continuation of Redundancy 2, we start with MAP16 which introduces another strange and unusual enemy to join the ranks of a dumpster imp emerging from a trash can, a fire-breathing demon firing fireballs from its mouth and a miniature mini-arachnotron. That's also not the last of the unexpected surprises the wad has in store so get ready for the disorder and the disarray and come join the chaos!

After a 6-year wait of half a dozen years, Redundancy gets its equally redundant sequel, filled full of unnecessarily redundant map names, weapons, items, guns, thing placement, level titles and plenty more. The sequel is quite an upgrade to its predecessor it succeeds, with the addition of custom resources and textures and some creative and unusual monsters to top it all off as a cherry on top!

Note to everyone who didn't have a time change last week: most of Europe did so the session will start an hour earlier than it usually does for you.

TNS #763 - CREMATOMANIA (Part III)

This week we wrap up the megawad with a stretch of maps that really lean into Crematomania’s “why not?” design philosophy. We start with the only map in the entire set that hides a monster‑filled super‑secret, then head straight back into space‑elevator madness as we climb toward Egon’s hidden vault. Expect plasma troopers, moon‑hopping, free‑roaming Archviles, and even a brief non‑combat victory lap.

And once the vault dust settles, the megawad refuses to let us go quietly. Instead of rolling credits, Crematomania punts us into its grab‑bag of bonus material: a “was supposed to be Wild West” experiment that mutated into a sun‑blasted desert base, a completely unrelated side‑project map that wandered in from another dimension, and finally a second finale...because if there’s one thing this wad believes in, it’s that the only proper way to end Doom is with more Doom.

This Thursday, we push deeper into Egon Tusk’s cosmic disaster‑portfolio as Crematomania settles into its mid‑wad stride with bigger maps, stranger ideas, and a mapper who clearly decided that consistency is optional.

We’ll be moving through labs the author barely remembers making, sewers where the monsters somehow navigate better than they should, a data center originally described as a “ball‑crusher,” a Twitter HQ fever dream rebuilt from a prototype, and a vault map the creator openly doesn’t trust. And just when things start to stabilize, we plunge into a volcanic base introduced with the immortal line: “WHAT THE F** EGON?!”* It’s all very normal.

Egon Tusk bought the UAC and Twatter in the same week, and shockingly it went badly. If that caught your attention, then you’ll probably want to check out this week’s installment of Thursday Night Survival.

A vault full of cash? Check.
A difficulty curve that politely says “no”? Absolutely.
Level names pulled straight from Elon Musk’s Twitter feed? Every single one.

Join us as we tour Hell’s newest family resort, packed with theme‑park mapping, fake ceilings, exploding locomotives, space whales, and even a Deep Space Nine runabout. Strap in for Part one (of three) Crematomania: Fortune, Fiends & a Space Odyssey—because if Egon can’t keep his companies, we can at least take his money.
