Finishing up the journey through the subtle world of déjà vu, the expected finds its way to sneak up on you in unexpected ways, creating an undeniably all-new experience with the unmodified Doom 2 monster placement. And while fully appreciating the effort put into the concept may not be possible without trying it yourself, the maps fortunately stand well even on their own despite the severe constraints put on the authors!

To celebrate Doom 2's 31st birthday(s) we're going to be old-fashioned and just play Doom 2... sort of. /vertex relocation/ is a community project in which participants had to build a map around the precise monsters and their coordinates that are present in the original Doom 2 maps. However, any other edit or addition is fair game so there should be no lack of surprises as we endeavor to relive Doom 2 yet again in this quite peculiar but certainly unique way!

After a bulky assembly of secret maps we advance from the first map of last week's session, MAP15, to... MAP16. And while the character of the maps stays the same, this week it seems to be only the MAP19/MAP20 pair that threatens to break our stride so see you there for what turns out to be the third quarter of TNT 2, back at the old pace!

What does the middle part of TNT 2 bring? Besides the expected increase in difficulty and map complexity we get no fewer than 6 secret maps, including the appearance of classical architecture in MAP31, quite the rarity in Doom. Additionally, MAP34-MAP36 are all-new, apart from MAP26 the only maps not seen before the recent RC1 release so if newer means better we might just have the best part of the wad ahead of us!
